Luis Torres Alicea

Alumnus of the Drama Department of the University of Puerto Rico, Luis Torres Alicea is a multidisciplinary artist focused in Grotowski’s based work training by the mentorship of Dra. María Collazo. Luis has ventured between writing, directing, performance, theatrical & film creation in independent Puerto Rican productions. He has collaborated with many directors, such as: María Collazo, Edgar García, Heriberto Feliciano, Dean Zayas, Norberto Collazo, & with Dir. Heixan Robles, starring as the leading actor in his first feature film, Era del Silencio, & eventually as a supporting actor in the film Borealis. Luis has participated in several festivals, such has: XIII International Theater Meeting of Grupo Ayacucho, Cuatro Tablas, Peru; The Puerto Rican and International Theater Festival, Institute of Culture; XXI Foundations Festival Season, IATI Theater Company, New York; XI PR Queer Film Fest, Fine Arts Miramar, XIII Cruzada Central por el Teatro, Atabal Teatro, with the intensive workshop El Acto Total: Del Training a la creación escénica actoral, Dir. Jaime Soriano (LartEs), in El Museo de la Ciudad, Santiago de Querétaro, Mexico & Festival Shaya: II Intercambio Internacional de Culturas Teatrales Enmancipadas, Cusco, Peru.
